Acts of Limited Application
In the past certain Acts have been classified as Acts of limited application and excluded from consolidation programs and reprinted sets of Acts.
The Office of Parliamentary Counsel does not hold the text of Acts that have been classified as Acts of limited application. The information provided on this website about these Acts is the information from the Index of South Australian Statutes. This does not extend to information about Acts of limited application that had ceased operation before 1 January 1976.
The majority of the Acts classified as Acts of limited application are either of local or restricted application or are private Acts. Some public Acts of general application are not of general interest and have been treated as Acts of limited application. Examples are the Housing Agreement Acts of 1978 and 1981. Acts that are not currently in operation but that have not been repealed such as the Income Tax Acts have also been regarded as being of limited interest.
All Acts enacted since 1 January 2003, including Acts of local or restricted application, are, if they are amended, subjected to the legislation revision and publication program and made available in consolidated form.
